The Most Stringent ASNT Certification

Going Above and Beyond

The American Society for Nondestructive Testing developed the ASNT NDT Level III Certification Program in 1977 to provide an independent assessment of nondestructive testing personnel qualifications to ASNT published requirements for ASNT NDT Level III personnel.

This ASNT program provides stringent examinations to individuals qualified by education, training and experience. The examinations consist of written a Basic and Method examination for ASNT NDT Level III certification. Examinations are offered by ASNT at an Authorized Examination Center (AEC) or one of ASNT’s Partners. Applied Technical Services is currently the only AEC capable of offering the full suite of testing for ASNT NDT Level III, ACCP Professional Level III and Industry Sector Qualification (ISQ) Examinations.

Certification is available for NDT Level III personnel in:

  • Acoustic Emission Testing (AE)
  • Electromagnetic Testing (ET)
  • Infrered / Thermal Testing (IR)
  • Leak Testing (LT)
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)
  • Magnetic Flux Leakage (ML)
  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
  • Radiographic Testing (RT)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Visual Testing (VT)
Certification is valid for 5 years in all methods. A point system permits re-certification without further examination.
